Fruitcake mongers are asking for it. I thought we were short one Overlord since the merger (“efficiencies,” you know). I deny knowing anything about the gong farmer, however. (But I am very suspicious of that all-too-innocent -looking cat of yours….)

A gong farmer was the term used in Tudor England for someone who removed human excrement from privies and cesspits; the word “gong” was used for both a privy and its contents. Gong farmers were only allowed to work at night, and the waste they collected, known as night soil, had to be taken outside the city or town boundary. A text of 1562 states that “no Goungfermour shall carry any Ordure till after nine of the Clocke in the night.”

Regarding the Turkmenian Eagle Owlets, I think that their companion is an unidentified stuffed owl (no ears = not a koala))

I shouldn’t be mentioning competitors here, but that cat bustier reminded me terribly of Tom Siddell’s “shadow people.”The Nigerian word for “gong farmer” is “onioburu,” a wonderful insult to hurl at people claiming to be the only daughter of a rich and dead potentate who wants your help moving $18 million out of the country…

In the 40s and 50s Ellery Queens and Hitchcock’s, mystery after mystery was solved by the gardening detective seeing the hydrangeas turning blue from the iron content of the murder weapon buried next to it. Ooh Ooh, I’m sure Nero Wolfe’s quarter ton orchid grower solved a crime this way too.

if you do away with an overlord, they’ll only send another overlord to replace that overlord and soon you’ll be overrun with overlords

T- I guess I’ll have to return the sun I bought you for your birthday. During the summer I dream of rainy days. In the winter I yearn for sun. I guess that’s the way it goes……nice artwork on today’s FA.

@Teresa: Sinfest is pure awesomeness. If you’re being compared to Ishida’s work, you’re in phenomenal company. It’s a shame that a professional comic illustrator must stoop to tearing down the work of others to make themselves feel better, yet it is a common phenomenon. Pay no attention to the little man behind the curtain.

Teresa, about " Yes we feel the love" , consider it a complement if people are using " frog applause" to describe lameness or whatever. Soon you will be a verb like google. Cool! That’s so Frog Applause!
