I don’t know when you were born Scott, but the odds are good that the US had some of the same issues going on when you were born; worries about the economy, about the future, being at war somewhere, corruption, greed, political struggles between left/right ideas… but also; people arriving from everywhere else trying to better their lives, movement towards a more just society. Nothing new really. A country is not something that is set in rock, it evolves, regresses, moves sideways. Are you involved in the process aside from your postings here?

The economy crashed while the Republicans were in charge, the Democrats are trying to get it started again, when something is broken as badly as the economy was it takes time.

By the way, what is the Republicans plan to fix the economy? Bashing Obama doesn’t seem to be helping.

Despite the fact that you have no idea what you are talking about, Ken Warren, you will note that we are about one year into Obama’s term, that we passed something called a “stimulus” earlier this year, and that Dems have all the control they need to do just about anything….yet Toles is drawing this strip RIGHT NOW. What does that say to you? Anything?

The Republicans always have plans when it comes to the economy, proven plans. They are rarely, if ever, implemented.

The Republicans always have plans, most of which benefit the rich. Reaganomics was compellingly shown to make the rich richer, the poor poorer, and increase the gap between them at the cost of the middle class. Bush extended those policies. “Proven” to fix the economy? No. When FDR gave in to Republican criticisms, it sent the economy down. When Obama has hesitated to spend as needed to build up the economic infrastructure, it hasn’t worked as well as it should.
