A floor-furniture B&W TV set with rabbit ears? I’m confused what decade Red and Rover are living in. I guess Mr. Greenjeans clinches it; it’s not now.

It would probably prove difficult to even find a B&W TV now.

Red and Rover is set in the 1950’s.

I have a 13” black & white portable in my attic that worked the last time I checked.

ah, the fifties!—- didnt know how good we had it…….NO computers, NO cell or even push button phones, plenty of jobs, Baseball was America’s pastime, NO steroids in any sport…NO video games.. , the cars….oh, the big , tailfinned cars with gobs of chrome and not a seat belt to be had…..I know , not all of this was good….but what did we know?— ..if red & rover is set in the 50’s , Brian should have more references to that period….it would open up tons of gag material, comparing life then to life now

    just a thot

I’ve actually had the theory for a while that it was set back a while ago. Just had that feel to it….red wagons, bow and arrow toys, rocket ships, old comics….. I guess this confirms it!

I think it’s more like the 70’s since Red has a crush on Marcia Brady.

I always thought Red and Rover was set in the 1960s, or possibly the 1970s. Red’s definitely my generation, now middle-aged.

I had the same thought about Mr. Greenjeans. When visiting a friend whose family had a color TV, I was surprised that Spock’s uniform shirt was a different color from Kirk’s.

Hey Drystyha, try your B&W TV again after the digital cut-over this month.
