    Mxyxptlk - LOL!!

APEX is just too stupid to install a mechanism for catching the boomerangs before they return or a shield for the throwers. I’m thinking of a huge wall that is coated with a soft, sticky substance that would capture the boomerang mid-flight -OR- a plexiglass wall that the thrower could duck behind right after throwing the boomerang -OR- it wouldn’t be too hard to adapt an old-fashioned baseball pitching machine** to throw boomerangs.

** When I was growing up, the baseball pitching machines at the local batting cages were metal boxes that had metal “arms” that actually threw the pitch - instead of the spinning tire type.

I agree. How do you get to a political comment from this cartoon without being a totally cynical person?

I for one thought the “unemployment and healthcare” comment was funny.

Backwards, I worked with a guy who got struck in the head by one of those machines. It had jammed and he was attempting to clear the jam and the arm went off and cracked his skull. He wound up partially paralyzed, and though with physical therapy he was able to walk nearly normally, he lost most function in one of his arms. I’m pretty sure his case was one of those which made the rotating tire machines the apparatus of choice after that.
