Will Susi give Calvin a knuckle sandwich??? Why don’t they do a report on Nimrods and Doofusi or what ever the plural of Doofus is.

Amazing how the name of a great man can become so corrupted as to be considered an insult.

Blame Warner Brothers … or their ignorant audience. The American neologism of ‘nimrod’ as an insult comes from the phrase “poor little Nimrod,” used by the cartoon character Bugs Bunny to mock the hapless hunter Elmer Fudd. Clearly the original meaning was lost on much of the audience. Kind of like the way ‘geek’ was redefined to mean nerd, even though geek in its original meaning is much more applicable to jocks than nerds. Nobody screws up English like Americans. LOL

I’m afraid that Calvin is right. Suzie gets A’s in everything - even being a Nimrod.

Calvin, you may want to use a different term. In Britain, the word “Nimrod” refers to a surveillance/recon aircraft, of which one version was very similar to the American E-3-C “AWACS”.

Not sure Nimrod was such a great man. Many writings - as in Josephus - Nimrod is a man who sets his will against that of God. In others, he proclaims himself a god and is worshipped as such by his subjects, sometimes with his consort Semiramis worshipped as a goddess at his side
