YEAH!

Looks like Mom gave up and went home. All kids look like angels when they’re sleeping. ;-)

I remember when we forgot the teddy bear at the hotel… The Arrowhead Hilton was nice enough to mail him to us. There was little sleep until he arrived.

Hey, mom took away the “captain cap” from Hobbes in the 3rd panel. Who’s in charge of the trip now? Guess it’s mom…

This isn’t the ending I thought it was going to be. Another time that Hobbes got lost, Calvin found him with Susie Derkins at a tea party.

wait…who else was mom expecting to come through the front door?

Dad is still a grouch

well runar the same thing cant happen twice can it? calvins rules for life are the same as the ones for calvinball.

Moms always want hats off in the house.

runar, yeah I remember the one with Susie Derkins, also.

Calvin is happily dreaming up his next great adventure.

runar: In the episode of which you are thinking, Calvin was knocked over by a dog, who ran off with Hobbes. Susie found Hobbes where the dog left him.

Dad’s logic is flawed. I think we saw recently that Calvin has tried to lose himself in the woods and always seems to find his way back, much to his own chagrin.

Dad is giving the impression he doesn’t care, but the truth is he is just as relieved as Mom.

In the fourth panel, is that a sinister smile on Calvin’s face or is Hobbes happy to be home? …. lol

Everything always works out O.K in the end

sha that is so sweet he found him. Such a good dad, well mom made him do it so such a great mom. see told you he would wake up the next morning with hobbes happly in his bed. sha.

Mum wants it done but expects someone else to do it. Typical? Dad does it but feels as a male that he needs to present a gruff attitude. To allow mother to feel good about her non-participation?

Um, Mom,w ho else would be coming into your house?

Dad’s not coming off too good in this arc. We all know he loves Calvin, but he’s just being a jerk. Course, he might just be trying to curry some extra happy time with Mom. So, maybe not that big a jerk.

I also thought this was the Susie tea party arc.

Yukoner: Hmmm - do I detect a bit of anti-woman emotion here??

calvin’s mom stops looking for hobbes 10 minutes after she starts and then when dad gets back she probably makes him rub her feet!:)

Hey Dad should be happy to get that big kiss. That should have made the ordeal worth it!!

Yeah my dad used to say that about me when I was a kid. He’d always say “He’s a good kid…. When he’s sleeping”.
