Hi. I’ve been online for two hours Friday PM but I do not know if I will still be here to post this evening. Tech support coming out on Tuesday.

Oh, Ballard St. Let’s see. You head down that way until you get to the white house on the corner – it’s not white anymore, but you’ll know which one. Then turn toward Rachael’s old place and then cut over to where Scooter ate that car. Turn North on South or is that East.

    You can’t miss it.

OK, folks… here it is… almost right on time this week….

I mean, you do have to give me a moment or six to create the image…

    your side-by-side puzzle:

Have fun; no shoving, there’s plenty for everybody.

Hope you brought your own utensils.

Dennis… hope you’re here; if not that you get back online soon.

I have been having connection problems too…

for a while it seemed to have gotten better so I didn’t have anybody come look at it….

But it started to get worse again just when those huge fires started…

And now we have huge areas with no phone or internet service, and thousands of people waiting for technicians.

Since I’m one of the lucky ones with some service, I’ll wait.

But last night I was offline more than on, waiting more than typing…. and I never did get several comics to open…

and one was Cleo on Sherpa.

    That’s why I was missing.

Yay, I am still online at the turn. Now, what was it I wanted to say in the last two nights? O well.

Susan, my wife patronized a shop in Santa Rosa that sold Mexican art and cultural items. Burned to the ground. She fears that many irreplaceable Mexican art objects were lost. I guess a lot of art was destroyed in the homes that burned as well. Such a tragedy.

Hope that spider over in the corner doesn’t distract you from today Cleo & Co. Puzzle.

But if it does here’s the solution to today’s puzzle.

Dennis… so much lost it’s impossible to wrap my mind around.

I’d love to know the name of the store….

I know one called Cokas Diko, with Mexican art and handcrafts… really nice, not what you’d find in tourist markets.

I loved it when it was in its first, out-of-the-way location, tiny and cluttered, with little treasures to be found for a few dollars.

Now they’re in a much bigger store, and also carry expensive modern furniture and lighting.

It’s somewhere near the Kmart that burned, and was the only place I could think of from what you said… so I just looked it up online.

If that’s the one, it was shut down because the power was off, but it had escaped the fire…. and it re-opened a few days ago.

But you know, some of the areas burned were full of big expensive houses, on such large, wooded lots that the residents could hardly catch a glimpse of any nearby homes.

Firefighters couldn’t negotiate all the long private driveways to save the buildings,

but had to concentrate on getting the people out safely while the hillsides burned.

I’m sure some of those demolished homes contained irreplaceable art and other treasures.

    Little Miss Muffet,

    Sat on a tuffet,

    Eating her curds and whey;

    Along came a spider,

    Who sat down beside her,

    And frightened Miss Muffet away.
