Well, Boyd, I think yesterday you found out it wasn’t made to be used as a hammer or a shovel.

Thursday you’d already found out it wasn’t a good substitute for a football or an end table.

Maybe today you can come up with its true purpose.

(Don’t tell Boyd, but I don’t really hold out much hope, I’m afraid.)

Meanwhile…. I heard there was ice cream.

    Cleeeoo!

You got any Blue Bunny Mud Pies?

Hey… before I pay you…. promise me nothing untoward happened to the person you bought this rig from.

    You did BUY it, right?

    Cleo?

While she’s mulling over her answer…..

kind of a giveaway, there, Cleo….

I have to say GoComics is very problematical for me tonight.

Some is cos of my internet connection, which now seems to stay connected, but at a speed so slow I could just have the data mailed to me instead.

Some pages time out before they’ll open…

or comics pages open without the image.

    But there are other glitches…

Like clicking to see ALL the comments either does nothing, or opens the page for a moment, but it immediately flips back to only the “featured” comment.

Clicking to see the replies to a comment opens the GoComics blog page instead…

    Anybody else?

    THE OLE SCALAWAG’S

    Guide

    to the interpretation of obscure

    Cleo & Co. Symbolism

    1. Cleo’s change thingie harkens back to a now abandoned time when there was hope for “Change We Can Believe In”.

    2. The T  on Clara’s sweater is an homage to nighthawk’s former cartoon wife.

    3. The “ɪCᴇ” in Ice Cream is a subliminal call for more vigorous immigration enforcement.

    4. The lavenderishness of Clara’s sweater is a signal that vacation time is over.

    5. The BLACK tires and ORANGE dream sickle are a nod to the school colors of Belchertown High School.

Looks like Cleo’s trap caught the ice cream man this time.

I always DREAMED of having my own ice cream cart!

Of course, I would put in only homemade ice cream, with lots of chocolate…….really GOOD chocolate! Mmmmmm…
