The dinosaurs did quite well without ice caps. Why do we need them?

When I was a kid, my hometown of Philadelphia was the 3rd-largest U.S. city. Over the years it was passed by L.A., Houston, and most recently by Phoenix. The week that was announced it was 106 in Phoenix! So why worry about global warming when all it does is save you the trouble of moving someplace warm? (Besides, global warming *IS* a hoax. Thirty years ago the scare was global winter. It’s just a scam to win Oscars and Nobel Prizes for washed-up ex-vice-presidents.)

I’ll also go back to what I’ve said earlier…the only “Global Warming” mankind should be worried about is God’s wrath at the end-times…

I’ve seen the evidence that average temperatures are getting warmer. But I’ve also seen the evidence that scientists’ models for global change are consistently proven wrong. So it’s the long-term projections that I find unconvincing. Global warming debates are backed by too much emotion from both sides.

widjibeaker-I totally agree. It’s all cyclical. Just look at historical weather patterns, dustbowl, etc. God’s creation is marvellous and is not for us to understand all its’ inner workings.

Whether GW is entirely man-made or not, it’s hard to refute the notion that human activity is accelerating it. In that case, isn’t it a good idea to avoid aggravating the problem to give ourselves more time to deal with the inevitable changes? We don’t bleeep in our living rooms with the idea that it’ll eventually dry out and stop stinking.
