There is so very, very little that the UN has done (with the possible exception of SOME famine relief) that been effective. What a broken, crooked organization.
All because the United States — among others — not only allowed but insisted that the Charter give a certain few nations absolute veto power on any and all actions.
The “United” part is only when those few “elite” nations are united among themselves, which is almost never when a serious issue is being considered.
The UN is arguably the most, corrupt, ineffective, wasteful and ineffective organization in the world. The only reason that the USA is still a member is to keep marginal control over its insanity.
Give the bureaucrats 6 months to sell their homes, revoke their diplomatic immunity, send them home, and house New York City’s illegal aliens in the emptied building.
Quick note: NPR is getting a lot of flack and for good reason for their myopic reporting. But to be fair there was a time in my career NPR ran my cartoons 2, 3 times a week (paid subscriber) and for years. Back then I was no less right of right then than I am today. My editor was a man named Mitchell Berger. We agreed on nothing other than the freedom to express points of view. After he passed I never heard from NPR again. -ML

100% violent solutions have been equally ineffective since 1945.

I will admit that there are times that I think that we might as well nuke everywhere and let the Blattidae inherit the Earth.
Them and the Tardigrades.

After two years, demolish the building and sell the property. At least then we’ll have gotten some good from the UN.
