I remember having to rescue a spider from the Kitchin sink at a party before some brave person flushed it down the plug hole. It escaped from my hands onto my shirt, the loudest screams were from the “hardest” guy there – it was one of those spiders with vary long legs and totally harmless (well to humans – as all of the native ones are in UK)

Presumably all dogs in the kennel are up-to-date on their rabies vaccinations (and would remember the trauma of getting them)

Bats do make a mess wherever they hang around. But that is out-weighted by the insects they turn into that mess.
