Wanda needs some time for herself. Having two 4 years apart were a handful being a single parent. But the oldest help out with her sister. I can’t imagine having a big family in this day and age.

Yeah, my mom wouldn’t have put up with any of that from me or my younger bother.

To Zoe – “Well, take it off then and you can run around half naked because you’re not going to put on another shirt.”

To Hammie – “I’m your mother and you’ll do what I say or suffer the consequences!”

To Wren – “What was the question?”

A neighbor with 6 children (17, 16, 5, 4, 3, 1) told us she got lonely when the oldest 2 were involved in school stuff and gone a lot. The little ones would help dad do yard work in the summer and fall – it was fun to watch them rake big piles of leaves and then run and jump in them.

My kids are all in their sixties now and still don’t agree with me!

mr pheets and I just came back from brkfst amid a family of 7. 6 kids all under 8, and Dad. All excited about getting to order their own food but not ONE travelled beyond their chair, they all spoke in indoor voices and were cheerful and shiny. They were better behaved than we were : )

A little affirmation goes a long way, so even if Wanda’s having a tough morning, it was good of Darryl to call!

No, Zoe, your mother isn’t wrong. She just has a different opinion.

Yes, Hammie, she can make you. Do whatever it was she wanted done or suffer the consequences… and then you have to do it anyway.

(I have nothing to say to Wren. She probably is just being obstinate in general and you can’t reason with a toddler.)

I think there was one where Darryl said pregnancy really agreed with her, and she said she was glad something around there did.

They are children. They only know what they have learned. They will learn.
