From now on, instead of becoming frustrated and yelling out: “I hate this f*ckin’ tight plastic packaging!”, I’ll start yelling instead: “I hate f*ckin’ blister packs!”
Yep, you buy a product encased in 19 layers of thick plastic but when you go to pay for it, they charge you for a bag because they are ’trying to reduce their use of plastic".
Several years ago, my mom and I were going on a trip. On the first leg, she realized she forgot her headphones, so we stopped at a store in the connecting airport to buy another set.
They came in a blister pack. And because we were in an airport, we couldn’t find a way to get it open. We asked TSA agents if they had a knife, we popped into a dozen stores to see if they had scissors (we weren’t even asking to borrow them, just “Hey can YOU open this?”). We finally asked a TSA agent who took it to the security lines to see if any pocket knives had been confiscated and opened it that way.
Then we get to our destination and we’re unpacking and Mom found her headphones at the bottom of her backpack.

Sure, and by the time you get the light bulb out of its package, you will have broken it

They are called that because you get a blister trying to get something out. I truly hate them

Why do they call them blisterpacks? I call them jet-age plastic packaging. Also, Larry David did a 10 or 15 minute piece on just this subject.

Legend says God gave the first blacksmith the first pair of metal tongs. Turns out a pair of metal tongs is necessary to make a pair of metal tongs.

Until I read the comments, I thought he was handing him his phone, with a picture of a pair of scissors on the screen.
