Surely somewhere in your garage or basement, there is a shoebox full of outdated technology that includes the microphone that was came with a reel to reel or cassette recorder!

I am rather surprised that their household has only one hairbrush.

Maybe let him keep the brush and buy a new one? It’s not like they’re super expensive.
