Is there any comic strip to which you can imagine devoting your life? There are regular posters here on GoComics who seem to be greatly emotionally invested in “Luann” and “Big Nate.” What about other favorite strips?

We don’t need police reform, except to get rid of the dirty, corrupt, and incompetent cops. What we need is to start locking up the criminals and throwing away the key.

If a comic strip is the most important thing in your life you have my sympathy.

There’s a lesson here in the excesses of fandom. Fans can shock the creators they’re fans of sometimes.

After a full career as a cop, and teaching police reform for however many years he’s been doing it, he has the right to hand it over to someone else and do what he has a passion for. Sorry, but I disagree with the people who say his priorities are misplaced.

At the rate law enforcement professionals are getting fed up and leaving departments in “woke” cities, there soon won’t be any police to “reform”.

Many classroom teachers are saying the same thing. Politicians heap abuse on teachers and then wonder why there is a teacher shortage. Go figure.
