A person should know what it’s for, a color that would work on the outside of a house, a bathroom or bedroom, may not work in a living room, kitchen or dining room.
If we’re going to move, why paint? If you’re going to move, and you NEED to paint, paint it white. That gives it that clean look for the sale, and the new owners can go in what ever color THEY want.
I searched for “weird paint names”, here’s a few I found: Snugglepuss, Dead Salmon, California Hazy, Mole’s Breath, Search Party, Sulking Room Pink, Unteal we meet again, and Pretty Ugly.
Just pick one. It doesn’t matter. I learned that decades ago. Rather than agonize over any choice my wife gives me I just choose one – regardless of what the options are. It has saved me a tremendous amount of time over the years.
My parents wanted to repaint their 1967 Chevrolet station wagon so they asked me what color I liked. I looked at the colors and picked the light blue that I liked. It was only after I had done so that I realized I picked the color of our bathroom. Until the end, it always felt like I was driving around in a bathroom.
We moved into the house about 35 years ago. The former owners were yellow/green people We are pink/blue/white people. We still have not repainted the 2 (of 3) smaller bedrooms, the downstairs bathroom, or our studio (aka the den) to a color we would like better. And still have their paneling in our dining room (though this we actually like as we have decorated it as an 18th century tavern so the paneling was actually a plus).

I thought Janis was going to let her hair grow out to a natural color. She will look weird with lime-colored hair.

Why would she want Arlo’s opinion on paint color, regardless what it’s for? To know which color NOT to pick?

He will get plenty used to all the colors as he applies them to the walls.

All nice colors. None of those belong on a wall. Especially if you want to sell.
