I guess the unionization of the labor force failed. As a truck driver, I am not under the FLSA, so I’m working for free, I only get paid to drive.
I was a TA. I was quite happy getting free tuition plus my small stipend and the teaching experience. Once I got my degree, I got a full time teaching job right away.
