Many years ago my brother asked me to try an ornamental pepper that his wife had grown in a small indoor pot. “No big deal,” I thought …. so I touched my tongue to the tiny pepper which had been sliced open. Wow! I thought my mouth was on fire. I grabbed a glass of water, but that only made it worse. My brother, who was laughing, handed me a slice of bread. I chewed on it and, somehow, the bread sucked all the hot stuff from my mouth. Oh, what a relief! Moral of the story: don’t trust an older, devious brother!

Mel will be in touch when he lands, and given the speed of his departure…nobody should be surprised if he calls from Honolulu.

Was it hot enough for him? ‘Cause I know people who complain it’s not hot enough when one bite has me dying…

If you eat that pepper, it will hurt. Twice.

The seeds inside any pepper is what causes the sensory overload; scrape them off before ingesting it. Yes, hot, but tolerable!!

I used to ba able to see the launches from my back yard.
Or, if the timing was convenient, it was a 45 minute drive over to the Cape for a front seat view.
There was a spot o US-1 that was right across the river from the launch pad with a perfect view.
