Not in a realistic world, friends are those you would sacrifice your life for, but would question loaning money to. Compassion is ignoring cowards and trying to save the lives of strangers because you’re driven to help others.

Someone somewhere pointed out that Trump is entirely transactional. Nobody would see him holding a baby, reading to a child, comforting someone who is upset.

No, actually, you can’t get that with cash. You don’t get friends, you get people who pretend to like you when they hate you. And lots of money is more likely to kill love and compassion than spread it.
