Elvis is not old. He’s merely sufficiently matured. Like a fine wine or delicious cheese! And that’s the story we’re sticking to!

OT: Mentioned this late yesterday, but thought I’d post it again for Trouble

Did the Woman get Elvis the cat equivalent of Ensure?

I’m trying to decode the tail twitching, but I can’t figure out which twitch is which…

Oh Elvis, I’m sure the woman didn’t read the fine print on the label. I’m sure she just was thinking it would be good for all her kitty companions to be eating the most healthy food available.

Whew, sure is hard to type with crossed fingers!

Elvis is a fine whine. His complaints get more dignified with age.

The Woman wants Elvis to live as long as he can.

I prefer to think of myself as being of “superior age” rather than “advanced.”

Just how far behind in age are the other mature cats?

Poor Elvis…all he wants to do is nap under a warm blanket….instead he has to contend with these jokers.

My cat will be seven this coming May, so what age would she really be?

I’ve been giving Angel wet food at least one time a day. She gets dry food twice a day and wet food once a day. Does that sound reasonable?

I remember being horrified when the vet referred to my 10-year-old ginger floof baby as “geriatric”!♥

Is Elvis the only senior cat in the house?

I hope Goldie didn’t make good on her threat yesterday. Outdoors and kitties can be a dangerous mix. Here in Texas it’s currently the highly unlikely temperature of 25 with a wind chill of 0, yet only one of the Spare Cats (neighbor’s outdoor cats) would come in for a warm stay at my feline BnB. The other is stubbornly making do with a ramshackle shelter at the back door and refused all my offers (and trickery, and bait) to get her inside.

I’m in one of my “moods” again, so I really appreciate the smile this gave me. ❤

With age, comes wisdom and experience…now, GET OFF MY CAT TREE!

Poor Elvis, he’s no longer the tiny little Pirate Ballerina he used to be. But he is perfect, just as he is.

I’m getting about to the “mature cat” stage, and I don’t like it.

Violet-Ifa: We heard there was a tomato storm, and Trevor-Hotep’s pizza trees were ready for harvest.

Thomios: We’re working on creating healthful pizza toppings for the kittens at the Happy Healthy Hospital Pyramid.

Violet: I think we can help with that. The Cosmo Nursery has plenty of herbs and spi…Uh seasonings.

Agnes-Ata: And maybe some veggies and nuts would be nice.

Ta-Natash: Why stop there? We could organize the school kittens on a field trip. They could bring toppings to their friends in the hospital.

Thomios: I just have to make sure the Broom Family is available. Things do have a way of getting out of paw.

Roy, is not liking the Senior cat food, his brand has only 3 flavors and he sort of likes only one,

I still say there’s two food groups “Health food, and mental health food.”

Ah yes, Senior Cat Food. The Mark Twain version of “not frolicking with minced pie after midnight” for the older feline.

I may get some canned food and see if my gang of hooligans enjoy it as a treat. It’ll be cheaper than the stuff in tubes (I think).

Old meezers and old geezers both will vehemently deny their age.

Nothing wrong with being old.

The snow seems to be over for now, accumulation here was about five inches, but now temps are dropping and the roads are refreezing. The snow plow came through earlier and really did nothing helpful, just made a mess. Guess I’m stuck inside today. Even a Subaru is no match for ice.

Own it, Elvis! Just own it. All those years of experience make it worth having.

And if not, just get us a close up on Elvis and how old he is. :P

Elvis will forever be dignified, regardless of his age.

Remember, Elvis, you’re not getting old—you’re getting older. Older is better than old—it lasts longer.

Elvis would really prefer food “for crabby cats.” He’s been nominated for awards.

Latest avatar: the view I woke up to this morning. (And I’m pretty sure the tortie princess had been washing the lil gray guy. Progress!)

I remember my Wife purchased some pet food for the older dogs and Gandalf that were for the “mature pet”.

I read the labels, got to the line, “lower stool output” and kind of guessed that was really the reason. Turns out for dogs, that hydrolyzed proteins (some call it human grade food) has a by-product in dogs of reducing elimination or waste production. They didn’t seem to mind the chow, so I did not change it back.

Gandalf wouldn’t touch the mature pet stuff. So, he kept his normal Kibble.

I think I’ve mentioned that Diesel, not quite a year yet, has decided he wants to eat the adult food like Oopsie. So, I have a combined food: kitten and adult all mixed together. and once he turns 1, then I can move everything to adult.
