Today’s strip cracks me up. The budding romance. The many things they have in common. Until the thud of disappointment. And then the explanation: “No two snowflakes … .” Perfect timing, Chip. It’s great.
Having different points of view on Jazz is not necessarily a deal breaker though. I like smooth instrumental jazz, my wife of 35 years is not really into it. While she probably knows who E.E. Comings is (Had to spell it that way to get past the bots), we focus more on dogs and pizza than on our differences, and so far that has been working pretty well.
Good Saturday morning everyone. Have a great weekend. I think I will hang lights and listen to some Chip Davis and Mannheim Steamroller. Then maybe some TSO.
All depends on the Jazz. Louis Armstrong, Al Hirt, Pete Fountain, Preservation Hall Band – I can’t get enough of that. Dave Brubeck, Kenny G, and the “cool” jazz ilk, meh.
To each his/her/its own, I suppose. Nice to see these two snowflakes have a lot in common, though the difference of opinion on jazz could be a deal-breaker. Ha. Really enjoy the music genre, myself.

What is a snowflake going to do with tea, with or without lemon?

One problem I see with snowflakes that hang around dogs and like to drink tea with lemon,
I am reminded of a song by the late Frank Zappa, “And my mama cried, watch out where the huskies go, and don’t you eat that yellow snow!”

I like a nice, mellow jazz. Many years ago, the late Oscar Peterson had a radio show on Sunday nights. I loved it.

Only Overboard would have snowflakes drawn as triangles. Most cartoonists would just make a white dot to avoid detail.

They’re all alike if you add a little heat to them!

Asking if you like jazz is like asking if you like food. There’s so many varieties that one answer often doesn’t work.
