Reminds me of a strange little novella called “Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions,” a satire by Edwin Abbott Abbott published in 1884. The characters who are shapes in Flatland argue about whether there can be another dimension. There’s also Lineland and Pointland, I think.

To date her you must solve;
$$x=\sqrt3{\biggl(\frac{-b^3}{27a^3 }+\frac{bc}{6a^2}-\frac{d}{2a}\biggr)\sqrt{\biggl(\frac{-b^3}{27a^3}\frac{bc}{6a^2}-\frac{d}{2a}\biggr)^2+\biggl(\frac{c}{3a}-\frac{b^2}{9a^2}\biggr)^3}}+\sqrt3{\biggl(\frac{-b^3}{27a^3 }+\frac{bc}{6a^2}-\frac{d}{2a}\biggr)-\sqrt{\biggl(\frac{-b^3}{27a^3}+\frac{bc}{6a^2}-\frac{d}{2a}\biggr)^2+\biggl(\frac{c}{3a}-\frac{b^2}{9a^2}\biggr)^3}}-\frac{b}{3a}$$
She’s complex.

What’s the deal? Spin the wheel
If the dice are hot, take a shot
Play your cards, show us what you got
What you’re holding
If the cards are coldDon’t go folding
Lady Luck is golden
She favors the bold, that’s cold
Stop throwing stones
The night has a thousand saxophones
So get out there and rockAnd roll the bones
Get busy
