I like following the kids from frame to frame. And the plane.

There is so much coming and going and going on in this widescreen tableau. And as the first poster above observed, there’s much fun to be had following the characters from frame to frame as their individual episodes unfold. It makes me think of certain classical paintings with crowds of people all doing their own things and largely unaware of one another. “Landscape with the Fall of Icarus” is one such. Wallace’s little boots in the last panel are exactly like the bare feet of Icarus after his fall from the sky. In fact, it’s something of a game of a painting… as in “Find Icarus in this picture.”

Spud: “Icky!” Wallace: “Double icky!!”

Love the look on Seagull’s face in the last panel!

Seagull, bug-eyed, as usual.

The kid with the banana peel on his head will probably not be impressed by Wallace’s death-defying slide.

Spud, by simply being there, made it happen

Glad he didn’t slide into the girl with her fish tank (or it’s a carefully carried lunchbox with a fish on it) or the kid with his recorder ~ that one would’ve hurt. I’m lovin’ the tune getting jostled right out of the bubble.

Janitor never misses a beat…

I’d love to see a story arc with Wallace visiting Frazz’s school for a week.

And the leaves are different in the display in all four panels.

I thought it was an odd way for that little girl in front to carry a lunchbox, then realized it’s a diorama – channeling Petey from Cul de Sac!

I like the time lapse from panel to panel, particularly the paper airplane.

It’s always fun to see all the little background details as they move through the panels.

Everyone has so many clever things to say about this strip and all I could think when I saw it was, ew, Wallace will need a bath.

The little details and how they interconnect panel to panel is so freaking amazing.

For some reason every comic strip garbage can contains a banana peel right at the top. Comic strip characters must all love bananas! Me, I loathe them with a passion.

Now I’m curious about the olive-gray kid in the last 2 panels. More backstory please.

Mr Henry: did you draw this strip in the last week (or possibly make one amendment)? I’m wondering if one reference here is coincidence or a comment by your good self.

I was wondering why the little green? kid was mad at the garbage man, but then I noticed that he had a banana peel on his head. And why is he green?

Spud knows Wallace’s question was purely rhetorical. :D

Great toon. Everything about this makes me laugh!

This has to be one of the greatest Wallace’s ever. Thanks for the laugh, I needed it.
