Strangely there is at least one deciduous conifer that I know of: Tamarack (The duckduckgo says there are three). Frazz may be looking for a rhyme with “never-seen”.

How about ‘rhymes with something that rhymes with “dye their hair” ’ ?(OK, I’m being cheeky; I’m a 72-yo man and my hair (what’s left) is only just beginning to change colour.)

Iwhen my hair started turni gray a few yars ago I tried dying it. No such luck. My scalp blistered horibly. I tried to completely different brands with the same result. My hair is now a gun metal fray and I’ve accepted it. I’m blessed with hair that is still thick at 68, so I can accept it turning gray.

I know one old lady whose hair went gray. It made her so angry she blue her top.

When a man goes grey, he’s old and wise. When a woman goes grey, she’s old.

“Salonifer”. I like it. Some of us dye our hair because we weren’t happy with the original color, but changing colors with the seasons sounds like a lot of fun, too!

You left off the “-ous” for parallel structure, Frazz.

Clever. Too bad it is botanically incorrect.

I enjoy seeing women who let their hair go grey, and still wear it longish.
