That last panel made me think of my dad. He loved to play dominoes, which he called “Bones.” I remember we would draw our dominoes from the “bone yard.” I don’t remember the rules now—haven’t played in years—but it was my favorite game.
Queen Catshepsut the Golden: So you would like to take a second trip to the You Call That a Pyramid?
Puckmosis: Yes, Your Majesty. There are many scrolls to catalog, and food to explore.
Thomios: That’s why Uncle Floof and I would like to go along.
The Queen: I’m sure you can leave the kitchen in Sue Chef’s capable paws.
Floofnet the Joyous: I’m hoping to prepare a classic food banquet with what we discover.
The Queen: Very well. Safe travels, and success.
Meanwhile, at the Artisans’ Studio
Obadiah Opossum: This is oPerfect! There is oPlenty of oPearls and oPals! I can make a beautiful tapestry with this space time fabric. How did you happen to have so much of it?
Adobe Style: We had to do repairs when Ora Z had an adventure with a space time anemone.
Obie: I heard about that. She met with Jules on his way to July, and the Royal oProcurers guided her back. Is Jules back from Julying?
Maat-Tilda: Yes, and he said there was trouble brewing with the moles and raccoons.
Obie: That’s too bad. They should just settle their differences with a nice game of Lawn oPotato.
Truly adorable. I’m really loving this look into the wildlands. I also didn’t realize the Opossums had such an epic and storied culture.. mostly because the ones we’ve seen dress pretty casually while the Racoons have their junk punk epic fantasy motif.
Okay, this story line is turning into a Lifetime movie script. Let’s get on with the war against the moles, the blood, the carnage, the party afterwards in the scattered garbage upon the raccoon and opossums victory. After all with the introduction of the spirits in panel 4 this story has evoked a Star Wars theme into the story line.

Awwwwwwww, that’s a wonderful last panel – if I could see it on this inferior blurry screen! What a lovely way to wrap up the week.

I’m loving that term, Bone Forest. And I agree, the last panel is pure magic. Our trees are your trees. Another great sentiment.

A reconciliation years in the making. Proof that it is never too late.

It took two generations, but now we are at peace. Thanks to the opossums for their forgiving nature.

It’s 10:30 at night and I’m crying about racoons and opossums. Georgia what have you done to me??

What is on her father’s shirt, it looks like an orange slice. And I’m loving the Patchwork Quilt. Quite a regal rainment.

The Bone Forest isn’t quite the After Life I was hoping for. But it’s better than the Underworld and Valhalla.

I wonder if Tilly and others from Oracle might also go to the Bone Forest sometimes? Maybe future Halloween arc? 8)

Empire of the Sun: Walking on a Dream
Feeling like a dream
So hard to explain
Reconciling friends
A rift is healed again
…….
We were foes so very long
Wonder why, I wonder why?
There was room for everyone,
Wonder why we didn’t try?
Even in the Great Beyond
There is hope for everyone!
On and on and on we go
We know we can get it Dunn!
…….
Is it real now?
When our peoples join as one?
I can feel now
There is room for everyone!
…….
Never thought I’d see
Us becoming friends
For so long we were at odds
Now I wonder why, wonder why
There is hope for everyone
We just have to try, have to try!
…….
Is it real now?
When our peoples join as one?
I can feel now
There is room for everyone!
…….
Together we won’t fall down!
Together we won’t fall down!
…….
We will keep going on
Both right here and beyond
Though it seems endless light
Soon there will be the new daylight!
…….
Is it real now?
When our peoples join as one?
I can feel now
There is room for everyone!

Up in the sky, with moon, stars and the rest
Bone forest is the place that’s the best
When it’s time for our final goodbye
We’re gonna go up to that woodland in the sky
Goin’ up to bone forest in the sky (forest in the sky)
That’s where reunions will get us high (on up high)
When we die and we finally rest
Bone forest is the place that’s the best
