Yesterday we had a crew doing concrete sidewalk replacement outside of our house (as well as elsewhere in the community). A bit noisy, but nothing drastic. At least we can walk in those areas without tripping now. I don’t envy those guys working outside in the sun in 100+ temperatures.
We got an email this morning reminding us that our window replacement is happening on the 25th. We’re finally getting rid of that awful garden window in the kitchen as well as new low-e windows everywhere except the patio. I can’t wait!
Not much happening today. At least nothing on the calendar. Somehow something comes up anyway.
I have a similar tale. When I was working nights at the shop, it was a cold morning, -20, and as I passed through a little collection of buildings known as Lindon corners, there were the trash collectors doing their thing and I did not envy them. For me it was get home with out freezing to death.
Busy morning! I started out with my blood draw this morning and then Sidney and I went to Waffle House for breakfast and a short drive. I will see the doctor for my six month checkup on Tuesday morning. Not much of anything else going on. I usually meet a friend on Fridays for lunch, however her water heater broke and flooded the basement several weeks ago. Today people are coming today to lay the new flooring.
Like Mark we stayed at home on the Fourth and watched A Capitol Fourth on TV. It was pretty good this year. Earlier we watched Yankee Doodle Dandy and Anchors Away. I love old movies!
The weather here has been pretty dry, but we do have a good chance for thunder storms this afternoon. If we don’t see rain here soon it will probably be the end of August before we have rain again. For July our weather has been mild, 66 this morning and it is currently 86.

Sunny right now 68 degrees. Partly cloudy early, with heavy thunder storms developing. going to be a noisy afternoon.
I head for the store this morning to get sustenance for the week and maybe some things we don’t need.
