I was pushed into using a travel agent for a cruise, told it would make the mundane planning easier. So far, all the broad has done is send emails asking if we’ve filled out our info on the cruiseline’s site. For this, she gets a commission?
The truth here is that the travel agent gets paid and many times can get you the same price or better. She also has some idea of when NOT to go and can help smooth other matters. Unless you just want bargain basement travel, the right agent is the way to go.
Support your local businesses, or else the Walmartization of American mom and pop business will continue.
