    Lewreader:

Ah, the joys of bulk pick-up week! You put all that useless junk on the curb to empty your garage. Then you go scouting neighboring piles for anything you think you might like. After all, you have SOOOOO much room in your clean garage, surely a few things won’t make that much difference.

Next month, you put 90% of the bleeep you picked up the previous month on the curb…

Because it’s different junk, not your junk! It’s the same as washing dishes at a friend’s house. The same job but different dishes, makes it more interesting than washing dishes at your own house.

When I was in college, there was a thrift store not far from campus that was closed on Sundays. On Saturday, they’d receive a new supply of goods and store them in bins outside to be sorted and priced on Monday.

On Sunday, people from all over town would rifle through the bins finding what they felt they needed, checking to make sure of the size of the clothing would fit them.

It looked like a swarm of buzzards on a carcass, and we students referred to it as “Beggars Day.”

I get all my best stuff from my favorite thrift store…….all my clothes with expensive designer names? Thrift store finds! Never paid more than $4.00 for any of them!
