    Hey, some of them mates throw themselves on the females pincers in a self sacrifice to make sure she is too stuffed to go looking for another male for another go at fertilising her eggs. That’s ‘love’. Others tie the female’s legs to make sure they can make a quick get away. That’s good thinking. :)

    Studies that found some female spiders eat their mates were done in little glass boxes where the men had nowhere to run to. But normally, the male spider just leaves, so they don’t get eaten.
