I’ve never known a kid that walked around a mudhole, myself included!!!

I did not get this strip. Can somebody explain?

When I was a kid, at the end of our driveway was a hole that made the BEST mud when it rained. My friend, Taffy, had freckles, which she hated. I remembered reading something about how mud was good for skin and figured that, maybe if Taffy put that mud on her face it would clear her freckles. So I told her and, being a good friend, offered to mud my face, too. Not only did it not work, but our mothers weren’t the least amused.

LOL! I remember playing in the mud all the time! Made mud pies and stuff! LOL

As a general rule, my mother didn’t mind us playing in the mud so long as we didn’t tear up our clothes. We were required to strip down to our underwear, hose off and hose out our clothes before coming inside.

Calvin’s version of “Mud in your eye”… and your hair, your ears, your clothes…

I can see Calvin having a pet slug in his bedroom. Of course there’s an odor to put up with; but, I’m sure the slug will get used to it.

Send Calvin to Washington. He can do lots of mud-slinging there.

One house where my family lived when I was little was surrounded by soil with a high clay content. It made the best mud ever.

Calvin never met a mud hole he didn’t like.

Now, if a hand had reached out of it to grab that stick…

Years ago, my sister saw a dog rolling in the mud at a road repair site behind our house. She said, “Oh, I pity the owners of that dog!” Then the dog came home !

… then hose down the living room, kitchen, and bathroom because Calvin meandered into the house without being seen.
