What’s wrong? Rat seems perfectly healthy.

Hey, it’s hard to find a mask for a pointy nose.

One time I was three years old. But do you know?

I will  be saving some of them. But it will be accidentally. I’ll only know I did it when I open something and find an old one in there.

Well, nobody wanted to get close to Rat anyway.

Now you knows why he called the harbinger of the plague.

During the Spanish Flu, people died of bacterial pneumonia because of masks.

I still have mine…. something wrong with that? Scrapbooker, I am….

I still put my mask in my back pocket when I leave the house even though I haven’t been using it of late. It’s my security mask.

Here in Michigan, the wife and I still mask up when we go to the grocery store, since we’re in the flu season. I use to come down with the flu and or bronchitis every year. I haven’t had a bout of bronchitis or the flu since 2019.

Two years? Don’t you mean three?!

Before masks could be found everywhere, I used an old N95 woodworking mask, that I had been using for over 30 years. It took me a while to figure out why I was battling fungus infections.

Rat’s germs just killed the previous germs from when he last wore the mask.

His ancestors really did carry the plague.

Looks like Pastis has killed off a lot of characters. Haven’t seen Zebra, Crocodiles, Goat, Little Guard Duck in a long long time.

At least he wore one…

They still require them at my doctor’s office.

I would always write a date on the corner of my mask. Not to remember to change it but because I didn’t want to wear or buy one, when someone else felt it was needed. I would write dates 9 months ago and if someone said anything I’d say “It’s so I remember to change it each year”. Most places would give me a new mask or 2-3.

I’m just glad it’s over now.

I have masks all over the place. I need to get rid of some.

I used mine to hold up a few convivence stores. Until I was caught, of coarse.

I had kept all mine (about 2 dozen) so I won’t have to get new ones for the next pandemic

C’mon Pastis. It’s way past the time for more of the Crocs..and Guard Duck. I know they were overused at one point, but the scale has tipped.

Rat, being Rat, doesn’t surprise me than he has a cleanliness issue.

What gets me is folks that “wear” their mask only covering their mouth. They might as well not be wearing one.

Two years? Well then, why do my various doctor visits still require them. And people in my state are still dying?

ok, I laughed, because I pretty much did the same thing. So tired of the covid crap.

If Rat still has that mask, still uncleaned, I propose he puts it into an envelope and sends it to the Kremlin. Hopefully their war on Ukraine will end when Putin and associates are carried off.

He’s a real mask-hole…

I have a ton of masks, since every time I take my dog to the hospital as a therapy dog I grab a new mask, plus a spare. Once a mask is wet, it’s useless unless you set it aside and let it dry out and sit for a few days. Then you can wear it again. For respirators (N95 for example) you can just air them out and set them aside for a few days until they get soft. Then toss them. I usually keep a N95 on me for areas such as the ER or when seeing a very vulnerable patient. I will put one on for them separately.

We managed to travel quite a bit, with precautions, once the vaccine came out. For two cruises my wife bought cloth masks representing each day’s port of call. Also some Disney and Star Wars masks for Disney World.

That’s pretty ratty, Rat. But it probably didn’t make much difference….

I’m concerned that the bulk of these comments – you too, Steph – refer to the pandemic in the past tense. People are still dying of Covid every day in this country. Every new iteration of the virus is easier to catch and transmit. It ain’t over till it’s over. And who knows when that will be.

One of my favorite makes I have has the following saying on it: This mask won’t keep me from talking about my goats.
