Euphemisms bring the mystery to relationships.

If you don’t understand they are euphemisms then what’s the difference?

Relationships are mysteries. To think you understand one is just your latest delusion.

Stop before it’s too late, you two. Snuggle and cuddle are gateway words. Next thing you know it’ll be kanoodle.

Man, this strip makes you work. Even after looking up euphemism, I don’t understand it. Am I too old to understand, or too young, or too clueless, or too stupid? Actually, it’s probably the latter.

But they sure do look cozy. Makes me want to join them. Wait, that’s my cluelessness talking. I guess that’s my strong suit.

According to Mirriam-Webster, “snuggle” is a synonym for “cuddle”, but “cuddle” is not listed as a synonym for “snuggle”.

Interesting study on the difference between snuggle and cuddle. For those who like to google I recommend googling snuggling rather than snuggle to avoid fabric softener advertisements.

Snuggle? Cuddle? Tomato? Tomahto" …. Let’s call the whole thing off!

I’m pretty sure there was an A and J strip where Janis told Arlo that the wife in a married couple A and J knew told Janis that “snuggle” was the code word that couple used for sex, too, and Arlo was surprised Janis talked with other people about A and J’s sex life. Maybe someone here can find and post that strip?

it would be nice to have a wife that still WANTS to snuggle or cuddle…anywhere…

I’m 74 and married 41 years. I get it. My wife and I often joke about how similar this strip is to our lives.

I does make a difference. She still hasn’t been able to get out the stain from the last snuggle.

Words a woman has never said: “Would you like to have sex in front of the tree?”. Partly because the question is redundant.

It’s Christmas. Just wear a red or green sweater. Stop or go.

“That’s because the last time we did, you threw your back out, I got carpet burns, and Gene was born two weeks early.”

That’s not just euphemisms, that’s a code!

With Gene out of the house, snuggling anywhere in the house is back on the table. Maybe literally. With proper padding, of course.
