Of course he flinched, Calvin. He was chicken. You made him out of “yellow” snow.

This snowman needs Frosty’s hat so that he can retaliate back.

One good thing about snowmen you get a second, third……chance and no pending lawsuit!

Yukoner, I disagree. If Suzie had been in place of the snowman, Calvin would have missed….intentionally hitting her smack in the middle of the face!!!, not on the snowball on top of her head.

On the other hand, there is no way on heaven or earth Suzie would have volunteered. Probably Calvin with Hobbes help would tie her to a tree before attempting his daring act of William Tell.

Of course Calvin missed. He closed his eyes at the moment of releasing the snowball. Any pitcher knows “eyes on the target all the time”,

Calvin forgot to take in the wetness and weight of the snow and adjust his trajectory accordingly. If you pack the snowball hard enough it will ususally ice up. A rock in the middle of the snowball helps too, but then you have to be careful about who you’re throwing it at [no one bigger than you are].

Knowing Calvin, the snowman results are in gorey living color. I would love to live in his neighborhood.

William Tell shot arrows. Imagine the spectacle if he had all kinds of little plastic arrows sticking out of the snowman? HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!

I think Calvin might have had a better shot at hitting his intended target in the right place if only his left eye had been open and focused as he threw the snowball instead of closed since he is left-handed.

After a heavy snow one winter, our three boys (all Calvins!) built a six foot tall commode with raised lid in our front yard. We had people driving past from all over town with their cameras. Their mom had a fit. I laughed my head off.

Duke, I’m glad Calvin doesn’t live in my neighborhood! I have to scold other little boys for littering the street when they eat my oranges (and some are so naughty and wasteful as to throw them at each other in the street! There is snow 2-3 hours away at higher elevations, but some children never get to play in it;-(
