Gender reveal parties ought to be against the law if there is anything more powerful than a box of matches involved. With escalating fines for each added elaboration that was involved.
Of course I’m not biased: We deliberately avoided finding out the gender until the parts could be directly examined with the Mark I eyeball. For the first, I created a couple of dozen “cigars” on my lathe, made from scraps of maple, walnut, tanoak, and I whatever I had. Then I made up pink and blue “cigar bands”. After we knew — and got some rest — I wrapped the appropriate ones and handed / mailed them out. Alas, I failed to keep one for us. Ah well.
Just read the thriller “The Scorpion’s Tail” by Preston and Child. Today’stoon brings to mind this novel. Wow, it was VERY good reading, lotsa cool history in it.
I can’t believe the powers that shouldn’t be haven’t outlawed such parties. After all, you might accidentally claim the growing child is a “boy” or a “girl.” (Gaaasp!)

The woman, who is mortified as to where it’s gone, started this just by baking the color into the inside of the cake. How about just doing that?

I like how Harry and Megan did it. The baby’s was born, and they said, “It’s a girl.” Simple and effective.

Wait, is gender reveal parties politically correct? Who are we to determine what gender the person will grow up to be in how they feel on the inside?

Everything is to the extreme anymore. Ridiculous

How can you reveal a gender until the baby is born and old enough to decide it’s gender?
