This is an absolutely true story, according to Pat Boone:

Don Rickles was dining out with some friends at an upscale LA restaurant. When he got up to use the men’s room, he saw Frank Sinatra dining in another part of the restaurant. Knowing him slightly, Rickles approached Ol’ Blue Eyes and said, “Frank, I’m with some people I’d really like to impress. It would mean a lot to me if you’d come up to our table and greet me by name.” Sinatra said of course he would; glad to help.

A while later, Frank came by the table as promised, leaned in, and said, “Hello there, Don!”

Rickles turned around and snapped, “Not NOW, Frank! Can’t you see I’m with friends?”

As Rickles’ guests watched in amazement, Sinatra doubled over in laughter.

As a norteamericano, I find that hard to believe. Where would you mostly find fossilized lion bones?

Ancient beer, from what I’ve heard, was more of a thick, very-slightly-alcoholic gruel than a beverage, but it was very important, giving people a disinfected source of water and calories.

Another Sinatra story allegedly true tells of the rivalry between Sinatra and Buddy Rich when they worked for one of the Dorsey brothers. The two had enormous egos and didn’t often get along. One night after a show, people were lined up to get Sinatra’s autograph. Buddy paid two teenage girls to wait in line, and when they finally got Frank’s autograph, one of the girls said, “Wow, if I get two more of these I can trade them for one Buddy Rich!”

When did this change from making comments on the comic to a place for someone to only give his daily joke? Not one comment lately is about the comic. EVERY comment is about the joke. Maybe we should change it from “Ripley’s Believe It Or Not” to “Eromlig’s Daily Joke”

Uh, so, how old is that brewery?

I wonder what happened historically between ancient history and modern history? Where/what was the disconnect? This brewery, for example. How is it that it was “discovered”? Obviously, at one point it was a major site, then it became abandoned and forgotten. How does this happen? The same for many other things, such as the pyramids and Stonehenge.

Those must of been some really cold lions.

Lions still roam and live in N. America.

It was common for the ancients, and even more recent civilizations, to routinely drink beer and wine. Mostly to avoid drinking contaminated water. The buzz was a bonus.

And now they roam the congress…

The lions now roam the internet and liberal cities looking for someone with a traditional point of view to devour
