I feel so safe and confident venturing out now, and so LIBERATED.
Still wearing a mask when I go out to show solidarity with others, comply with current rules in my area and to keep others safe, but no longer hesitant or apprehensive about going out, and no need to limit to just rare essential errands. Finally getting caught up on a lot of errands and things I had been delaying for after vaccination.
Please, everyone, when it is your turn, GET YOUR VACCINATION!
Above 20% in the USA: about 65 million people have had at least one jab… and we reached 2,000,000 jabs (I think it was yesterday). At that rate, about two more months to 80% coverage… but I think it’s accelerating.
Sadly, it leaves me feeling SO terrified seeing all those younger people crowding together like sardines in a can. Do they not understand? Do they not care? Are they so frivolous to keep turning their eyes from all that’s going on..around the whole world? No WAY are they going to get out of all that scott free. What a waste! Two crummy, painless shots to protect and prevent so much!
Folks, I had less anxiety at the two week mark after the second shot but even though we have to contend with the anti-vaxxers and conspiracists who work against us, the social safeguards cannot be relaxed until more data is gathered about the variants showing up here now. I hope that we can get through March Madness without cancellation for the psych boost it will give at least one segment of the population.
A third wave of coronavirus threatens Europe, just as Germany, France and Italy have suspended use of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
Italy imposed another national lockdown to stop the latest virus spread, driven by more infectious variants. Cases are spiking across the continent
With Trump, no social distancing, no masking, no accurate data, not steps to mitigate the spread at all – other than the helpful suggestion we ingest bleach or inject disinfectant and the reminder that he took no responsibility at all.
Will the Texas government also do the same for its citizens who were frozen out during the big winter storm / power outage / outrageous power bill crisis?

As Dr. Fauci says, “Let’s not spike the ball on the 5-yard line.” Let’s keep wearing those masks and social-distancing. Let’s spike in the end zone!

I wish I could even get on the waiting list for one. It’s going to be late Summer at the earliest.

Apparently Montana Swill was given a defective vaccine decades ago, which caused serious brain damage……..
