Not all THAT much related, at least directly. Apparently, the 6o-70 demographic who went heavily for Il Douche in 2016 has woken up and now supports a candidate who actually HAS helped people with his work. But that’s not so much about Covid-19 as it is about having come awake enough to see what a loose cannon he is, though observing him during the pandemic has been… enlightening for some. Plus, we “well aged” folk kind of like someone who’s less… stressful… to have in charge. The other big switch is white suburban women who also are seeing that he’s been nothing but trouble for them (and everybody who’s not rich, white and male). In fact, he now has only a few demographic segments that prefer him, and those not by very much.

Kamala Harris has a message: “They’re coming for you.”

tRump and Pence are suing the American people right now to rip away protections for pre-existing conditions.

Health care is on the ballot. VOTE like your life depends on it.

The president predicted the virus would disappear in the warmer weather. What he didn’t explain was that the planet has not warmed sufficiently to eradicate the virus, and viewed in that light, his environmental (non)policies make sense. /s

Beware of the closet Trump voters. Clinton led the polls going into Election Day 2016 and came up short on her statewide tallies. Biden needs a bigger lead to assure victory.

Trump is relaying on his base to vote in large numbers, which he thinks will get him reelected. For Trump, polls don’t matter, only votes matter. And, of course, the Electoral College votes will matter even more.

Pretty good odds on paper but we have yet to see the cards Russia and Barr have up their sleeves.

Last month for the first time in its history (since 1845), Scientific American endorsed a presidential candidate. And it was not Trump.

Scientific American has never endorsed a presidential candidate in its 175-year history. This year we are compelled to do so. We do not do this lightly.

The evidence and the science show that Donald Trump has badly damaged the U.S. and its people—because he rejects evidence and science. The most devastating example is his dishonest and inept response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which cost more than 190,000 Americans their lives by the middle of September. He has also attacked environmental protections, medical care, and the researchers and public science agencies that help this country prepare for its greatest challenges.

    ………

The New England Journal of Medicine (since 1812), ecalled for a change in American “leadership” based solely on the lack of responsible actions in response to Covid-19.

Anyone else who recklessly squandered lives and money in this way would be suffering legal consequences. Our leaders have largely claimed immunity for their actions. But this election gives us the power to render judgment.

Reasonable people will certainly disagree about the many political positions taken by candidates. But truthis neither liberal nor conservative.

When it comes to the response to the largest public health crisis of our time, our current political leaders have demonstrated that they are dangerously incompetent. We should not abet them and enable the deaths of thousands more Americans by allowing them to keep their jobs.

October 2016: The poll shows Clinton with 50% support to Trump’s 38%, with 5% backing Libertarian Gary Johnson and 2% supporting the Green Party’s Jill Stein.

POLLS ARE IRRELEVANT. The Electoral College is the only thing that counts in our Presidential Election.

Does anyone else find it scary that 40% of Americans not only want a dictator but are willing to elect a proven incompetent.

What’s really disheartening is that even his gross mishandling of the Covid pandemic may not be enough to get rid of this ignorant, incompetent, criminal, treasonous fool.
