The principal is certainly playing this up as much as possible. Maybe it’ll work.

LOL! Though I’m sure it’s better to be honest I actually like the Principal’s answer.

First off, I like that the principal is shown in shadow in the center panel, and 2nd, that profile looks a lot like Grandma. Finally, Agnes is learning something somewhere, I’m impressed by the word “Plutocratic”, defined as characterized by government by the wealthy.

Poor Agnes… brilliant, in her way…

but so literal in her thinking, no matter how fantastical it may seem to us….

that she’s ill equipped to understand the sarcasm her ideas elicit.

Children are strangely better at initiating sarcasm than dealing with it directed at them.

If the mob runs it, the school must be pretty profitable.
