So John is worried about his wife. Most of the time he acts like a jerk, but this kind of thing tells me that he’s really a sweetheart. (Kinda like me.)
When I took college algebra, many a year ago, my grades were good enough that I could have skipped the final, and gotten a C. My prof about had a conniption when I mentioned it. :-)
Maybe Elly’s grade is good enough that by just showing up, she knows she passed the course, if not the exam.
My husband always remembers all the important dates: Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas, my birthday, and our anniversary. What more could I ask?!?
