Besides, doesn’t matter what sort of band it is, the songs probably always ought to come first, because you aren’t much of a band without one. “Theatrics” then come second. ;)

There was an old Dave “The Lighter Side Of…” Berg cartoon about a bunch of teenagers forming a band. They had the name, they had their gimmicks, they had their ideas for promotion and touring. “Now, I think maybe we ought to learn to play these instruments…..”
