When I couple Obama’s actions of the past few weeks with the rhetoric of his hat-in-the-ring speech, his strategy seems to be thus:
“Don’t worry, no matter how much I cave in to the Repubs, the base will FLOCK to the polls to support me…they’ll put up with anything rather then let a far-right nutjob take power.”
Yeah, riiiiiight….that’s what the House Dems were saying this time last year.
He’d like to do what he said, but only about a third of the country is with him, a third against, & over half can’t be bothered to pay attention & vote.
Over 4,000 of our soldiers killed in Iraq, and their families, might have considered “cautious pragmatism” a better route than a cowboy and his hired guns stampeding the herd?
compared to BO anyones an improvement…even Joe Biden who’ll make dumb mistakes….dumb is better than barak the destroyer.. and the people are paying attention watch for the TeaTsunami
Using a bit of HQ’s post, it’s either him or the road to the equivalent of a Muslim theocracy. And since I value what freedom I do have and Obama is actually working somewhat on providing civil rights equalities to persecuted minorities, he’s certainly the safer option, since Hillary won’t run.

When you consider the alternatives he wins by default.

My thoughts exactly. The GOP alternatives are insipid, at best.

Oh, look at that, hyperbole.
