I’ve washed some really “stinky” dogs and it always worked for me.
Skunk odor is hard to clean up but I’ve found that strong lemonade (without the sugar added) made with something like Real Lemon cuts the skunk smell better than anything else I’ve tried including tomato juice.
Tomato juice, while effective, creates it’s own mess. Sugarless Lemonade does as good a job or better and there is no residue or mess.
StelBel I never thought about hydrogen peroxide mixed with anything for skunky odor on my dogs. But I’m going to give it a try to see what happens the next time anyone around here gets “skunked”.
Have you ever tried the lemonade wash? It does leave them smelling “lemony fresh”.

Huskies are supposed to be some of the cleanest dogs out there! On the other hand, all dogs can be pretty gross at one time or another.

Also, dish detergent, hydrogen peroxide and water all mixed works very nicely indeed!
