Again, Clark displays his whit and wisdom!

Be still my beating heart as the “Lefties” turn on the “Anointed One” and leave us poor middle class people to supply ourselves. Shame on this administration, for making Americans fend and starve, and now is waging an illegal war! WTF is up with that? Aren’t all you lefties ready to butcher this community organizer that you put into office? If his name was Bush or had a (R) by it, you would not hesitate at all.

    Speaks for your hypocrisy.

You know what the problem is with righties like jose?

They treated George W. Bush and Reagan as ‘anointed ones’ so they naturally assume we do the same with Obama.

Wrong…we don’t see things in black and white.

And it’s the Repubs who are attacking the middle class….not the Dems.

The only people referring to Obama as “the Messiah” are conservatives. Obama’s taken a lot of criticism from the left, which you probably won’t hear about if you only get your information from Fox News.

Not as big a danger as screaming teabaggers, who think anyone who doesn’t agree with THEIR way of thinking has no right to be an American citizen.

And I don’t recall Obama being referred to as ‘the messiah either Howdy and jackson…EXCEPT by uber-rightwing Republicans.

But as they say, action speaks louder than words…and that’s how the righties TREATED Reagan and Dubya. ( especially Bush )

They could do no wrong, and anyone who said otherwise was a durty, anti-‘Murcan, hippie, traitor an’ ay-thee-yist..

^harley, name one president who was “proven” before his first term. Good luck. Oh, and whatever I think of Obama right now, Abraham Lincoln had one term in the House to his name. He did rather well.

It’s like this harley. I knew righties who were hailing Reagan as the savior of America as far back as 1978.

BTW, RR raised taxes 11 times and initiated the START Treaty…the one his Republican ‘admirers’ in the Senate tried to shoot down.

He’s nothing more that a stage prop to theTea-Bag Repubs

I know of only 1 president who was “proven” before his first term, but he was so exceptional that one tends to ignore him: George Washington. Nobody else comes close. You were right about Honest Abe, Motive. But he was detested at the time. Perhaps that might be a good measure of how good a president is while he is in office - how many people hate his guts irrationally.

^^^^^^You know gramps I could come up with as many quotes about Reagan as you found about Obama. Just because a bunch of people are licking is tush doesn’t mean the rest of us are like minded. With all the garbage you spew I’m starting to get a picture of what you think liberals are.

Tell me do you think we’re all gathering in beer halls and taking out teabaggers?

What’s the source of those quotes, churchy? That’s obviously a copy and paste.

    And what is the context?

Never mind churchy, I found it myself.

    http://obamamessiah.blogspot.com/

Now, what is the context of those quotes?

Let’s take a look at just one of them, shall we?

“No one saw him coming, and Christians believe God comes at us from strange angles and places we don’t expect, like Jesus being born in a manger.”–Lawrence Carter

Here’s the first part of that quote….

“You cannot put him on a pedestal and wrap him in cellophane so that people will fall down and worship him. It is not fair to expect someone to swoop down and save you, I don’t think Jesus so much came to save us as much as he came to free us so that we could save ourselves.”

Now note the following: Carter is actually comparing Obama to MLK:

“It is powerful and significant on a spiritual level that there is the emergence of Barack Obama 40 years after the passing of Dr. King,” said Carter. “No one saw him coming, and Christians believe God comes at us from strange angles and places we don’t expect, like Jesus being born in a manger.”

    http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/chi-obama-godsend_glantonnov29,0,7660180.story

Now if some hardcore Obama hater with a website can chop up ONE quote to make it seem as if the speaker was saying something he didn’t say…. it kind of stands to reason that he might have done it with at least a few the others as well.

^ So does harleyquinn. Check out that link he posted in response to the Danziger cartoon.

It’s so easy it’s pathetic. I just Googled the words’ Obama’ and ‘Messiah’, ( same as churchy did, I have no doubt ) and BAM! there was the source of those quotes.
