Every other country in the world is adding high speed rail, giving them a much more efficient infrastructure than ours. Why Harley always thinks that Americans are unable to keep up with the rest of the world is beyond me. Why is it that only liberals believe in America?

Stop the Amtrak subsidies, sell it off to a private entity and see if it can stand on its own. Let private industry create a high-speed rail system, not our broke Feds.
Private Industry IS developing the high speed rail (in China) with gov’t help. Private industry cannot appropriate the land to build it on but gov’t can.

Harley can’t comprehend that some parts of our country, like California, are very much situated to take advantage of high speed rail. (Cities Harley has never heard of: San Francisco…Los Angeles)

Harley,,,,, I don’t think the people who have high speed rail would give it up. Cheaper in the long run and uses less fuel.
