His it the typical human reaction to being limited by forces outside himself. _Wet paint _ sign syndrome is the classic example. My wife and I generally do not leave the house more than about once a week for restaurant food, general shopping, or whatever. Now that we have had to limit our ‘outs’ to only grocery stores every two weeks, my bad little kid side is beginning to perk.
Our country was founded in belief of Individual freedom. Perhaps each person, defines the ideal of individual freedom in different terms. In its noblest of expressions, individual freedom is enshrined in our Bill of Rights. It is freedom of conscience, freedom of speech, economic freedom, and freedom to choose your life style. I found in my years as a LEO, that as soon as you gave an indication that someone couldn’t or had to do something, that they all knew their rights or at least thought they did.
