It isn’t that they’re sold out – every time they get any, some wacko comes in and releases them.

kjhudlow - a kraken is a huge, giant squid that can destroy ships and eat its crew.

The most famous Kraken has to be the one from Disney’s 20,000 Leagues under the sea.

There are several myths about the Kraken - especially among the ancient Greeks.

Its interesting to note that the Kraken is based on reality. There are giant squid that can get to the size of a small ship, although they tend to live in the lower parts of the ocean.

My guess is Jason and Marcus kept asking the pet store about baby Krakens to the point of “as Marcus says - Do you think the pet store is messing with us?”

Quoting prfesser: “When the occasional specimen gets to the surface, it goes to pieces because of the sudden lack of pressure.”

Not true at all. There is no “sudden lack of pressure” unless it has been instantaneously transported from the depths to the surface, an obvious impossibility. If this were true, explain the museum specimens and film taken of Architeuthis on the surface, very much alive. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://aquaviews.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Giant-Squid-Architeuthis

Alas, no, the restaurant does not serve unicorns, as none of the waitresses are chaste enough to see them.

TrapperJohn, dude, of course not! It’s a seafood restaurant. The BBQ Unicorn restaurant is on the other side of town.

The part with the Kraken was definitely the highlight of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.
