I do have a noticeable belly. I was standing outside smoking one time, and a random lady stomped up to me and read me the riot act for a good solid minute about smoking while pregnant. I just let her go on. When she was done, I said “While I appreciate your obvious concern, I am not pregnant. Just a fatty.” She was so embarrassed, I actually felt sorry for her.

Maybe when SHE comments on it…

I ask “Are you pregnant or just fat?” Oh and no person should ever ask me anything unless they want my honest opinion.

How do you tell when a duck is expecting? When you smell the bacon frying!

One of the many joys of being a teacher was having a sweet little child come up, rub my belly, and ask “are you having a baby?” Nope, just fat, thanks for asking!

I once asked the supermarket checker who had been wearing a ‘Baby ’ t-shirt previously when the baby was due. She said she had it 3 months ago. I gained 15 lbs with my first and 20 with my second. I figure I’m entitled to laugh rather than feel embarrassed.
