My dictionary has no “Adjowed” after adjourn. Has a new edition been published. Can I use this verb in daily conversation? Hmmm? Doesn’t pass spell chex either.

“Adjoined,” I think, Lewreader. I haven’t checked that in the dictionary, but I like it.

Click the comic to make it bigger – it’s adjoined.

At least it wasn’t conjowed balloons.

Yep - it’s “adjoined” – the I and the N come together merely to look like a W. Too bad too – I make up words all the time. Perhaps something like “mindjowled” we be good for this one as it’s something performed half with the mind and half with the jowls.

    Is that a “W” or a conjowed “I” and “N”?
