I hate these offers especially with produce. I might not eat 2 watermelons before they spoil. I suppose that it is better than buy one get 5 free.

I’ve tried this. They’ll say yes over the phone, but once you’re there you’ll get nothing.

I’ve always thought these are misleading offers. Why not just say 50 percent off? It’s just a way of offloading merchandise that’s going to be replaced by something newer.

The trick is to take the free one, and leave the one you have to pay for behind.

They’ve changed the signs to say Buy One, Get the 2nd One Free, but people still argue with the store clerks about it.

My grocer has a 10 for 10 sale. Who the hell wants ten cucumbers, ten of anything …..yikes! Like Costco….you have to buy half a cow to save….or are we? Lol

The farm supply store offered 25% off a bird feeder when you bought a bag of seed. I needed two bags, so as a joke I asked if I could get 50% off the feeder. No go.

The supermarkets where I live have taken BOGO’s to a new level. Instead of Buy One-Get One, it’s buy 4 for the price of 3 ! They really are going to make their money off of you – especially when you only wanted one of the items in the first place.

My favorite supermarket posts the % of the discount on all their sale items. They also post the price difference between the “store card” holder’s discounts and regular retail prices.

There’s such a huge markup on items it’s the grocers and or merchants making money…

There is a difference between BOGO and 2 for $6. For BOGO you HAVE to buy 2 items to get the deal. If it is 2 for $6, that means one items is $3. You can buy as many as you want and they will each be $3.

I wonder why they never have ‘buy one, get one free’ on cars…

Just buy half of one at the full price and you’ll get the other half free.

It’s not the same thing, but a store advertised thread ten for a dollar. I picked up one spool to repair a rip. My mother printed out that I was supposed to buy ten

“I don’t need ten, just one.” Even if it had been twenty-five cents per individual spool, that was cheaper than a dollar.

She was offended when they only charged me a dime. (I love my mother.)
