I think the copyright date indicates that the Endtowners started numbering the years beginning with the Apocalypse at year Zero.

re: the copyright date.. They (mutants and Topsiders alike) have started over again from Year Zero. The film is a few years out of date, however. At this point in the story, it has been six years since The End of Civilization As We Know It.
